Welcome back!

There’s a clear connection between your success in life and the proper development of your mind power. Your mind is a powerful instrument, so never underestimate it.

People don’t always fail due to a lack of education, or no education at all. You can find many successful millionaires who got far in life without benefit of any sort of formal education. If you look at the achievements of successful people, you will see that they all have one very special quality in common – they never let their shortcomings stop them from pursuing their dreams. Rather, they regarded shortcomings as a springboard for finding success. Many successful people will tell you that in order to change the circumstances of your life, you must gain control over your shortcomings. These people all view success as a goal that is reached after numerous failures are overcome, and that in spite of repeated failures, nothing will keep them down.

Actually, people fail not because of their own personal shortcomings but because they lack strength of purpose and determination. The unspoken rule is that positive thinking will put you on the path to success. Positive thinking has the power to guide your feelings and actions toward one thing: success. If you want to win in life, you must adopt the proper outlook and attitude.

You must learn the art of self-mastery if you want to truly develop the power of your mind. It takes time to gain full control over the enormous powers of your mind. And to develop your mind’s utmost potential, you must have the strength and conviction to work at it tirelessly. When you do learn how to master the power of your mind, the sacrifices you’ll have to make won’t begin to compare with the benefits of gaining a true, deep feeling of accomplishment that comes from knowing you have achieved something quite important.

4 Steps to Setting up Your Goals in 60 Minutes

I think that most people would agree that the people who have goals are more successful than those who do not have any.

Leadership and management are the keys most talked about.  Leadership is about doing the right things while management is about doing things right. Often when we study time management, we study efficiency (doing things right) and make the assumption that we have the effectiveness (leadership) solved.

The first step in any time management system should be to work on goals and as such, I use the following 60 Minute Goal Setting Exercise.

Step 1: at the top of a blank piece of paper write down “values” and then spend 10 to 15 minutes writing down everything that you value. There is a great website: www.stevepavlina.com/ that has a list of several hundred values to start your mind thinking in the right direction. After the time is up, stop doing this and move to Step 2.

Step 2: at the top of a blank piece of paper write down “lifetime goals”. This is where you can dream; for example, what places would you like to visit; what experiences would you like to have; what would you like to accomplish within your lifetime. This might include traveling to Australia; getting a university degree; living in an X square foot house, etc. There are no rules to this brainstorming – simply make a list.

I have done this goal setting exercise many times and I tend to use the same list of lifetime goals and add to the list each time I do the exercise.

I am sure those of you who have read self-help books, hypnosis books, probability of you encountering this mysterious word called “subconscious mind” are pretty high. So, you hope that the book that you are reading will provide you with a satisfactory explanation to what the subconscious mind is. Unfortunately, the book does not touch on the topic in depth enough for you to understand. Do not go sleepless over this question anymore, as this amazing article will tell you what you really need to know about the power of the subconscious mind. So, what in the world is the subconscious mind?

Another name for subconscious mind is sleeping mind or the unconscious mind. Both names arise due to the fact that you have completely no awareness that your subconscious mind exists. Your unconscious mind is a very hardworking mind that stores almost every single experience in your life. The information that it stores can either be helpful or destructive as the data ultimately forms the foundation of your belief system. The beliefs that you have will determine how you lead your life. Now that you have a brief understanding of the power of your mind, I shall tell you how to make full use of it.

Creative Visualization

Before you head off to your dreamland every night, spend 5 minutes everyday visualizing your goals and ambitions. Imagine yourself already achieving it and feel the emotions that you will feel when you achieved it. This simple and easy exercise is super effective in eliminating any negative emotions that hindered your path to obtaining your goals. The time before you head off to sleep is the perfect time to do this exercise as this is the time where your mind is most willing to accept new information. The next step to unlocking the potential of your minds power is doing positive self-affirmations.

Positive Self-affirmations

Every single morning, repeat your life aims to yourself with an enthusiastic tone. You need to say it passionately this way your brain will register what you say. The longer you practice doing positive affirmations, the more you believe in your goals and you already have reprogrammed your brain that you can achieve it.

How to Cognitively and Physiologically Better Your Brain

You blame your brain when you start to forget things.  Your work ethic in your office is not really efficient when you stay up till three in the morning and you are hung over.  When you argue for solutions during meetings and you do not even notice if they are working or not, then it is time for you to do something about it. When you can relate to all these, you need to better your brain, both in sharpening your perceptions, in improving how you approach problems, in analyzing information, and in adjusting your health, sleeping, eating, and work out regimen.

Your brain is not only like a muscle. It is also like a 10 year old. It could have started out curious and as you nourish that curiosity and savor the habit of learning more, of seeing relationships among things, of solving problems, you tend to improve the cognitive aspect of your brain.

Problem solving is a good way to keep your brain sharp. Once you get familiar with how your biases clog and impede your way of seeing things, get some training on problem solving techniques.  Not only will your stress level go down, you will start to feel empowered. Most people try to avoid problems, but if you are curious on how to generate solutions to things and to try them out.  Then problems become opportunities to make things better. The more empowered and capable you feel about your problem solving skills, the better you feel about yourself, the more you become capable of dealing with stress. Consequently, the more capable your observational and analytic skills become, the healthier your brain gets.

Manifestation Secret That Will Unfold Before You

Master manifestos continuously use a very well known secret that is always overlooked.  It exists in the human world and is a very basic, simple component that sets everything in motion.  We all know it is absolutely necessary and real.  Yet the vast majority of people do their best to avoid it.

All dreams, hopes, wishes and well intended goals will remain hidden in a box kept in the closet without this secret.  On a rainy afternoon the box will be pulled out and the carefully saved articles will be dusted off and cherished once again.  Time will be spent in pondering the potential possibilities and all hope will expire.  Wistfulness will settle in on you and with a tired decision, the ambitions, goals and serious potential will be carefully put aside once again.

The real definition of potential is ‘worth nothing as it sits right’.  Desire, hopes, wishes, dreams and goals have only potential without the obvious secret that will lead to manifestation.  It is not worth a cent at the moment.  Latent potential is not very common in the world today.  To see your desires to become manifested before your very eyes you will need to add the magic ingredient.  Pour an electric blue liquid into your safe and it will empty itself into your real world.

7 Must Know Barriers to Stay Away From if You Want Success

You want to start up a business on the Internet but it has not happened. What can you do to put yourself on the journey to success?

You can identify what is stopping you and take steps to overcome these common but deadly barriers.

Lack of Goals

If you sit down at your computer with the Internet connected with no goals, it is likely you will end up surfing without a purpose.  This is very time consuming.

Decide what you want to achieve, make it as specific as possible and plaster copies of them all over your home so you can not fail to read them at least 5 times a day.

Your mind will start to believe them and if you take active steps to achieve them – they will not be out of your reach.

Lack of Money

Okay for some people this will be a genuine factor but for the majority of us, there is a vice or an activity we can give up, like smoking, the odd bottle of wine or a membership subscription.

Most of us will be able to find something to give up or cut down on for the few months it takes to get started.

The Internet provides so many free resources and is the cheapest way to start a business these days so buckle down the purses or give up a vice and join the ride.

No Research

This is the most deadly barrier.  Because you might think you have an idea for a product but unless you are absolutely sure there is a market for it, you have no assurances of success.

If you have a list you can ask them for their opinions.  Or go onto some of the many forums and ask for people’s opinions and test the water.

Do not create a product and waste precious resources until you are sure there is a market.  Even better create the product after you have investigated a market and know what they want.

It has been said that one of the causes that weakens your brain performance is the aging cycle.  The older that you get it, your memory becomes out of form and this is the reason there are illness such as the unfortunate Alzheimer disease.  Fortunately, there are already known ways that can help you better your brain performance, thus giving you the protection from the dreaded brain deterioration.

One good way of prevention is the inclusion of colorful fruits and vegetables to your diet. The brighter the color of the fruit or vegetable, the healthier and fresher it is – thus, the better. As you may know, healthy foods help the body get rid of unhealthy toxins because these foods have antioxidants. If you follow this kind of diet, then you may have a 70% lower chance of suffering from dementia when you get older.

Vitamins, especially vitamin B can also help maintain the fitness of your brain.  If you lack vitamin B, you are more prone to suffer from Alzheimer disease and many other diseases. So, you may want to include vitamin supplements in your everyday meal. If you do not feel like you need supplements, then you may want to cut down on your alcohol and cigarette consumption for these substances, together with coffee and sugar, can use up your body’s stock of vitamin B. Aside from this, you should also try eating more beans and green veggies; these are rich in vitamin B.

Thinking and Believing You are Awesome Will Kick Your Brain Power into High Gear

When thinking about how good you are mentally, what are your answers?  For example if you asked yourself; do you think you are intelligent?  Would you answer with a nod and a smile or with shrugging your shoulders with a maybe?  There are many things to consider when answering this question that you should know of and your IQ score is just one of them.  In reality your brain will perform better if you think you are better.

The outlook and perspective you have on these types of things will influence the performance of your brain.  If you think and believe that you really are that good, then you may be in for a surprise as your brain will start performing to beyond your expectations.  Some may say that basic intelligence would never change after the childhood stage of your life, but then there are still some who believe that psychology has an influence in this.

The Influential Psychology in Brain Function

You may have heard of stories wherein the protagonist, who never even stepped into high school, was able to work his way from rags to riches. He just used his guts and determination as he climbs his way to the top. His childhood may have shown him that he can be as rich as his friends if he would only work hard for it. Because of this, he followed what he knew, and because he knew that he too can be rich, he did work hard for it. His outlook was that he can do if others were able to do it.

Goal Setting Made Possible by Ignoring the Experts

Posted on : 02-03-2010 | By : admin | In : Goal Setting

Any one who has a goal or plan which is slightly out of the ordinary is likely to be given advice by a panel of ‘experts’. They may well tell you that what you are planning is impossible, dangerous and even ridiculous. In some cases they could be right but quite often they are not. The article tries to assess how much respect we should give to the experts.

Try not to pay too much attention to the experts. They told the Beatles that the time for a guitar group had passed! At least one of them, Paul McCartney, is still going strong. He played at half-time at the Superbowl in 2005. Not bad for someone whose time had passed.

Stephen Hawking was diagnosed with motor neuron disease at the age of 21. He was given two years to live. He went on to get married and have three children and became one of the greatest theoretical physicists that the world has ever known.  He is now Professor of Mathematics at Cambridge – the position once held by Sir Isaac Newton. At least 40 years have passed since he was supposed to have died.

Recently in the UK some mothers have been released from jail. They had spent years of sheer hell in prison for allegedly killing their own children.  The evidence against them provided by a leading ‘expert’ has been shown to be faulty. They are now free but their lives have probably been destroyed irreparably.  The expert has not even been sacked from his job.

The experts probably told Sir Ranulph Fiennes that running 7 marathons in 7 days soon after a massive heart attack was not a good idea. He did it anyway.  Sir Ranulph, who was described as the world’s greatest explorer in 1984 in the Guinness Book of World Records, has the self-confidence to ignore the experts.  He even climbed Mount Everest by the difficult route just last year. The experts probably did not bother to tell him that a man with a heart condition should not try to pass the ‘death zone’ on Everest where oxygen is in short supply.  He was not too concerned. He believes that, if you plan meticulously and take the right person and the best kit and accept the fact that luck is an element, you will do alright.

Do You Need to Break Your Habits to Become Successful?

People living today are extremely lucky. 50 years ago the internet never even existed, and cable TV was something you read about in sci-fi magazines. Now, thanks to the internet, you can find information on virtually anything you want, instantly. This is something that was only a dream just 10 years ago.

Yet with all this information available to us, people still fail to become successful in life. Why is this? After all, there is so much self help information available telling us how to be successful, but most people still fail to achieve success. Why do people still suffer from depression, when there are so many books telling them how to live a great life?

The fact is information is not the problem. And no matter how much technology advances, people will always have the same problems.

What Are The Reasons People Fail To Achieve Success?

If you ask someone why they never succeeded in what they were trying to do, they will most likely tell you it was someone else’s fault or something happened that was beyond their control. However, if you compare that person’s life against someone else’s life, you could probably find many examples of people who suffered under far worse conditions yet still became a success.

This shows us that the real reason people fail is not because of something outside of them, rather the reason lies within.

Internal Reasons for Failure

When you continue to do the same thing over and over again it is called a habit. You are probably familiar with bad habits such as smoking, but are you familiar with the habits of failure or the habits of success?
